Sustainability Consultant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant to join the CPW Sustainability Team at either our Solihull or Nottingham office, working 36.25 hours per week under our agile framework.

The Role

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will be a BREEAM AP and have demonstrable experience in the independent management and delivery of sustainability projects.

You will be part of our team that deliver client sustainability design advice, modelling and reports for the following core areas:

  • BREEAM assessments for new builds and refurbishments

  • Sustainability statements for planning

  • Low zero carbon technology (LZC) feasibility study reports

  • Passive design analysis and reports

  • Embodied carbon modelling and reporting using the One Click LCA Software

Within the team, we each have specialist skills, of which yours may include some of the following:

  • Circular economy statements

  • SKA assessments

  • WELL assessments

  • ESG services

  • Sustainability advisor/ co-ordinator role

  • NHS Net Zero Carbon Co-ordinator

Whichever of these areas interest you, there will be the opportunity to explore these areas of the sustainability consultancy services that we offer. You’ll be working with a wide variety of both public and private sector clients, new builds and refurbishments, from planning stage right through to construction and completion.

Your Experience, Skills & Qualifications

A Degree (or equivalent) in an Environmental/Sustainability/Architectural Technology subject, or related discipline is required. An MSc in one of these subject areas would be ideal, however an enthusiastic approach to continual learning and personal development is more essential.

Working knowledge of BREEAM assessments as a BREEAM AP will be essential and experience of using the OneClick software for life cycle and embodied carbon analysis would be an advantage. Training will be provided in OneClick as soon as you start work with us.

You must have the ability to work collaboratively both within the business and externally, have a strong propensity to work with others, and should be conscientious and committed.

You should also be a well-organised, proactive, flexible, driven, forward planner with the ability to deliver work to a high standard and to tight timescales.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a strong willingness to learn and a desire to develop new and existing skills.

Proven experience working within the industry would be ideal, but a real desire to promote sustainability in the built environment is also very important.

You will become an integral part of our team, as well as being able to work on your own initiative and with a proactive approach.
