Brooklands Health Centre

Client: Milton Keynes Council

Our Approach

CPW designed the largest GP facility in Milton Keynes, with three storeys catering to the needs of 22,500 patients by combining GP consulting spaces, a dental practice, a chiropractor clinic and pharmacy in the same building, as well as a café and retail spaces.

The clear ecological benefit of building on a brownfield site needed careful, detailed liaison with utility companies providing gas, electricity, water, and communications infrastructure.

A photovoltaic array provides clean, free energy to power the building is clean, whilst high efficiency heating and ventilation, coupled with an airtight building envelope ensures low carbon emissions.

The high-efficiency occupancy controlled LED lighting further reduces energy consumption. As a result, this scheme has surpassed the Milton Keynes D4 policy on energy and sustainability.
