Description:

New 3 storey Film & Media Studies building on the Hatfield Campus site. CPW have designed a passive cooling system employing the ‘Termodeck’ principle to provide a high quality internal environment all year round.

Features:

  • High efficiency fans draw nighttime air to cool the concrete structure, this then cools the building’s fresh air supply the next day
  • In winter, high levels of insulation, air tightness and very effective heat recovery systems minimize energy costs
