This project represents the second phase in the University’s development plans for its student accommodation.
The construction consists of two blocks that replace two existing 1970s high rise accommodation towers in the centre of the university campus. The development also includes retail units, student common rooms and student support services.
The new residential blocks use the latest energy-efficient materials and systems. Both blocks are connected to the Birmingham District Energy Company East Side CHP plant located on the Aston University campus, which assisted in achieving a building EPC rating of A.
