This facility provides accommodation for 116 patients within three one-storey, bedroom and general daytime living accommodation blocks which have been built around individual secure gardens. Each unit is self-sufficient and for a specific type of care. There is also a central two storey building which accommodates treatment areas, gym and bistro with office and seminar facilities on the upper floor.
All the buildings are interconnected by pathways through landscaped areas embracing a “Village Green” layout and providing cutting edge design in a relaxed environment.
The design and installation gave careful consideration to providing services that are suitable for the safety of both the patients and the staff with regard to special needs such as anti-ligature fittings and services isolations. In addition, underfloor heating was provided to all living accommodation which removed the risk of hot surfaces and allowed the client to maximise on spacial planning.
