The refurbishment Kennet House, a former office block, lead to an increase in the building’s height, through the addition of new terraced floors resulting in an improved 10 storey building.
With a desirable riverside location, this new complex provides 103 contemporary apartments, basement parking and landscaped courtyard gardens.
The new residences at Kennet House presented challenges, with limited floor to ceiling heights due to working within the existing structure of the building. Subsequently, these structural limitations resulted in a highly complicated coordination process. Additionally, offsets in the architectural layouts resulted in further detailed coordination.
In order to achieve this high specification within the apartments, a complex shut down strategy, together with integration of the M&E services, was essential to meet the criterion and aspirations of the client.
