This new 2,750m² specialist scientific research facility has been built on the Glenfield Hospital site in Leicester.
The accommodation, which is arranged over four floors, includes new facilities for the Cardiovascular Research Centre, a biobank with -80ºC freezer stores and tissue culture laboratories which conform to Containment Level 2 of ACDP.
There are also further laboratories, flexible meeting spaces, offices and seminar rooms.
Other works included the replacement of essential emergency generator equipment, including HV and LV diversions without affecting the operation of the adjacent hospital.
