The new state-of –the- art Bioscience Building at the University of Nottingham, is a purpose built £22m commercial laboratory, compromising of office and meeting rooms based on the ground floor and four heavily serviced laboratory floors; each of which is divisible into two fully independent sublet-able areas. The building features variable air volume fume cupboard, general ventilation systems, lab gases, chilled water cooling and LPHW heating connected to the local district heating network. In addition to this, a large full façade ‘brise soleil’ and roof mounted photovoltaic cells have been included to improve energy performance of the building.
