The prestigious new BAR headquarters is the focal point for the design, construction and development of the Ben Ainslie Racing, America’s Cup boats. The building facilitates state-of-the-art boat design together with sports science and fitness whilst also providing a visitors’ centre and VIP suite.

The project has attracted £7.5m of Government funding plus a further £1.4m from Portsmouth City Council.
The building will be home to the 1851 Trust, a charitable trust that aims to inspire and engage a new generation through sailing and the marine industry, providing young people with the education, skills and training to become innovators of the future and stewards of the marine environment.
