Question & Answer
Healthcare Projects
Our Healthcare experience ranges from small upgrades, major ward refurbishments, to full scale hospital redevelopments. We have commissions at all levels including client advisors, contractor advisors, traditional design team members, and members of Carbon Reduction Committees. This has given us an exceptional appreciation of the present and likely future structures of an evolving health service.
We continue to deliver design solutions for complex and critical acute departments within ‘live’ occupied departments and congested hospital sites. Our philosophy is to address the areas affecting the patient experience and perceived quality of the environment, particularly natural and artificial lighting, temperature control, and internal air quality, dovetailed with the flexibility of services, low maintenance and meeting stringent targets for carbon reduction.
Our experience covers both private and public sector palliative care hospice facilities including inpatient and day care facilities, 24hr nursing facilities with communal areas.
A continuing experience in large scale mental health care provision within both private and public sector authorities including CAMHS, Men’s and Women’s units, PICU, HDU, Elderly, Mother and Baby, Eating Disorder and Autistic Syndrome Disorder (ASD) ward accommodation. We deliver a high standard of accommodation for staff and patient wellbeing, whilst encouraging patient recovery, patient privacy and dignity, cleanliness and, where practical, a non-institutional environment providing good observation line of sight and anti-ligature patient accommodation.
Primary care is about bringing core services to the local community, but in recent years the mantra is changing to provide single mixed use accommodation for the collaboration of GPs, Physicians, and Pharmacists to coexist. Our primary care experience is far reaching, working with many local PCT’s with most schemes procured through P21 and LIFT.
