Education Projects
We have an excellent reputation in the education sector and have a broad base of experience at all levels, from primary schools through to universities. Education accounts for a well balanced proportion of the Practice’s turnover with many projects procured through established framework or partnering agreements.
All school buildings must perform beyond the traditional curriculum with flexible spaces to cater for altered use patterns achieving greater community use of schools. We take a holistic approach to school design providing exciting, inspirational internal environments to stimulate students and teachers, achieved by extensive integration of information technology and enhancing internal comfort levels in summer and winter to increase health and well being and thus improve learning performance.
We have considerable experience in major further education redevelopment schemes with first class knowledge of co-ordinating site services infrastructure, maintaining services to buildings during demolition and re-building. We understand the importance of supporting showcase buildings and are consistent in providing high quality learning and working environments without entailing excessive capital and life cycle costs. We manage the services strategy for phased redevelopment to work around the curriculum and students with the least disruption.
Our proven innovative solutions can be demonstrated across all academic departments from specialist complex laboratory and research departments, social and business schools and to campus-wide infrastructure schemes. Where we develop solutions that are low in energy, allow greater flexibility, and developed with consideration for overall life cycle costing and lower maintenance costs.
